Eco-Investigators – Watersheds

6th – 8th grade | DURHAM

Spend a week immersed in nature! From our basecamp in the Museum’s outdoor classroom, we’ll explore the vital role of watersheds in our ecosystem. Campers will consult with experts involved in ongoing conservation efforts, then conduct their own water quality assessments on the Museum’s wetlands and adjoining Ellerbe Creek. We’ll investigate macroinvertebrates, plants and algae, and the geological forces that shape the stream. Prepare to get your hands dirty as we dig into ecology!
