Grades 9 – 12
In a first-of-its-kind for the Triangle region, teen participants become entrepreneurs. Audacity Labs is a collaboration between Duke University’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship initiative, American Underground, Re:City, and the Museum of Life and Science. Participants will be immersed in the skills and tools of the modern entrepreneur, including lean start-up, Human Centered Design, and the basics of coding. They will develop and prototype their own concept for a business or social enterprise, culminating in a pitch day in downtown Durham.
Due to its ambitious nature, this camp requires a four-week commitment, and is limited to a small cohort of participants (rising 9th-12 graders) for the pilot.
Camp is to run from July 8 – August 2 and will be based at our partner locations in downtown Durham. The four-week session is $1,360 for members and $1,500 for non-members.
